Fuel Savings

The main reason for converting your vehicle to LPG is usually to save money!
Currently fuel costs are rising dramatically at this time petrol is about £1.20 per litre and continuing to rise. The price of Autogas (LPG) is allied to the price of oil because it is a by-product of the refining process.
Currently Autogas retails at about 57p per litre.

A correctly installed and tuned LPG system should use about 12 - 15% more Autogas to travel a given distance than the equivalent distance using petrol. This is because the calorific value of Autogas is lower than petrol.
However even allowing for as much as 15% difference the saving per litre is still at about 50%! Thus if you currently spend £80 per week on petrol you will reduce it to approx £40! This is A SAVING OF £2000 PER YEAR!

Additional benefits are that the engine oil will stay cleaner between changes and thus you can normally expect engine life to be extended.

Of course another benefit of converting is that you will be producing significantly less emissions when driving. Particularly CO2 and CO.
